Holy Freakin New Year!! Have you found your passion??

Oh my god!  I didn't really realize how busy I've been in the last few months but to see the last post take place in August is crazy!

I want to say I've been busy but I have to also admit that the latter half of every year gets very distracting with important events starting around Halloween and all of the parties that surround it, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas and all of the parties that surround those then New Years Eve celebrations and boom its already time to start the year.

So I have decided to take on another project - and as it happens this project is actually a person!  I am managing a person.  They call this position a Personal Manager and I coined the term 'Nanager" because I feel like the combo of a manager and a nanny (and trust me it is the adult that I am nanaging not the kids).  I am loving the challenge and I believe what thrills me the most is that my challenges change almost daily!  Fun Fun Fun & sometimes FRUSTRATION!! but mostly fun!
With real estate I am a wiz - I get in there, get the offers written, get the property listed, get the paperwork done, do the inspections - it's all protocol and I have it down.  In fact I am currently on the tail end of closing my first escrow for the year and working hard to get it done!  I love the fast pace of real estate....  But going back to what suits my personality - real estate is a massive passion of mine and mostly I love this job because of the people that I get to meet every day & of course I am in love with Hancock Park especially and old 1920's architecture in Los Angeles.  Also I am a people person - a social butterfly of sorts and real estate demands that I get out and meet as many people as possible.

So now that I'm taking on this other challenge - I've come to realize I can excel in anything that includes what I am passionate about... and I guess I can sum it up to a few of the things that I love to be/do/have:
- A challenge or a competition.  Tell me I CAN'T and I will do my best to prove you wrong.
- Helping people and putting people together.
- Solving problems and cleaning up messes
- Getting a pat on the head, a round of applause or any kind of recognition for my hard work.

So let's talk about what YOU are PASSIONATE about.  Write down that list what do you like to do?  If you can find out what really makes you tick - find the job that these things can apply to and GO FOR IT!!  Don't be lazy - don't sit in a job that you hate - find your passion, find your career that you love and go hard!  It's worth taking the risks and taking on the challenges.
