Yes - you guessed it... I've been listening to some Tony Robbins.
So many of my friends think this is so cheesy but whenever I'm feeling a little off balance I love listening to something motivational and it totally works to bring me out of my funk.
I'm a true believer in smiling, laughing, having a light spirit and brightening the day with good cheer but what happens when there are too many thoughts going on in my head for me to bring that sparkle out?
I used to sit and listen to sad songs when I felt sad, watch a heart-wrenching movie when I felt heartache, listen to a moody song when I felt angry, now I put on something to bring me back to my focus and what I watched today on youtube was an oldie but a goodie!! :)
I watched a small Tony Robbins video that talked about how even if we have the right tools but are not getting the results we want its because of our psychological conflicts. What I find is that when I can deal with all of my inner conflicts I am a much more effective at using the tools that I have to succeed in reaching my goals.
If you have an inner conflict the only way you will be able to align your life with what you want is if you identify the conflicts and then choose what is most important to you.
Some great examples that he uses - You want to be have a billion dollar enterprise but you also want to have total free time, you want a successful relationship but you only want things your way. At some point you have to identify which is more important to you, some will choose the time others the enterprise but in the end a choice must be made because you will never achieve success so long as you have a conflict.
So identify the conflicts because they pull you in different directions. Find what is most important to you TODAY - don't base what is important on your friends, family or society's opinions.
Once you have clarity, once you decide on what is MOST important to you - your brain will notice it and this is what will drive you to the results you are after.
Clarity ~ what a great feeling! It is just part of the journey but every day just taking a few moments to identify what you are doing to stall yourself, to cause your relationships to be in conflict and to pull yourself away from success, this is what will put you on the right path to take you out of that funky feeling and onto the next level of living an exceptional life.
