"Plans are only good intentions unless they immediately degenerate into hard work." - Peter Drucker.
TAKE ACTION! What is the point of making a plan? So many people sit around and think and think and think... they spend time planning what they would like to do and what they need to do to get to where they want to be. I do this myself sometimes, daydream, write it down but there will always come that moment where one will need to turn that plan into an action and work hard to achieve the goal at hand.
TAKE ACTION! Working hard means different things to different people and I believe that there is a total difference between "working hard" and "hard work". Earlier this afternoon on a beautiful sunny September in Los Angeles, I went to the office with my partner, Jackie Valenzuela, and we worked hard. We spent 2 hours (as planned) putting a marketing plan together. It was definitely not our first choice of how to spend a Sunday afternoon but we had made a plan, put it into action, put in the hard work and got the results we had hoped for.
TAKE ACTION! I left thinking that I could have done a few things better in the plan. You see, once one chooses to dive in it's hard not to make a few more laps around the pool, perfect the stroke and maybe even start learning another one until it's time to go home.
TAKE ACTION! You may find that actually making actions out of your plans becomes addictive - it's hard to just stop making things happen when you understand the thrill of successfully completing a task from beginning to end.
It is the first step to personal mastery, first step to mastering the "game", and you will find that all high achievers are masters of their game because they know that (as Tony Robbins says) "Actions are the source of all results."
